Igalo · Herceg Novi · Montenegro
Hotel Vienna
At the peaceful end of Igalo’s waterfront, Hotel Vienna brings together the sea, spacious accommodation and warm local hospitality just moments from the water. The building stands directly on the shoreline, so the bay is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you hear at night.
Herceg Novi is a few minutes along the coast, close enough for an evening in the old town and far enough to leave the noise there. Between the two sits a private pebble beach, a seasonal pool above the water and a restaurant that stays open through the day.

Welcome
What a day here actually looks like
Mornings usually start slowly, with breakfast on the terrace and the bay still flat. By late morning the pebble beach below the hotel fills with guests who walked down in a towel rather than driving anywhere, and by afternoon the choice is between the shade of the garden, the loungers at the water or the quiet of the pool deck.
The beach begins where the terrace ends
The hotel’s own pebble beach area sits a few steps beyond the terrace, so a swim never requires a plan. Beach chairs and loungers are set out for guests, and the water in this part of the bay stays calm and clear for most of the season.
A pool kept for the quiet hours
On the sun terrace above the bay there is a seasonal outdoor pool reserved for adults, which makes the hours after lunch the stillest part of the day at the hotel. It operates seasonally, so we are happy to confirm the dates that apply to your stay.
Restaurant Vienna, all day long
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea and cocktail hour all happen on site at Restaurant Vienna, with a bar, a snack bar and a coffee house filling the hours in between. Nobody has to leave the property to eat well.
The promenade at your door
Poštenja Beach is roughly 150 m along the waterfront, and the promenade carries on toward Igalo Beach and, a few minutes further, into Herceg Novi with its stone streets, fortress walls and shaded squares.
The setting
Where Igalo slows down
Hotel Vienna sits along the quieter end of Igalo, close enough to walk the promenade and reach Herceg Novi within minutes, yet far enough from the busier stretches to keep a calmer seaside atmosphere. Mornings here usually begin with the sound of water rather than traffic.
Igalo itself has a long habit of rest. The town grew up around its sea air and mineral shoreline, and something of that unhurried rhythm still shapes the way people spend a day on this stretch of coast.

The hotel stands directly on the waterfront, with its own private pebble beach area a few steps from the building. Rooms look out over the sea, the mountains behind the bay, the pool or the surrounding gardens, depending on where you stay.
It remains a family-run house in character: small enough that the people who welcome you at arrival are the same ones who help you plan a boat trip, a drive along the coast or a table for dinner later in the week.

Beachfront
Between the water and the bay
Guests can step from the hotel toward its private pebble beach area and spend the day close to the clear waters of the bay. Beach chairs and loungers are available for hotel guests, so an afternoon can pass with nothing more planned than a swim, a book and the shade of the terrace behind you.
Pebbles keep the water clear in a way sand never does, and the shoreline shelves gently enough that swimming out feels easy. Late afternoon, when the light drops behind the hills across the bay, is the hour most guests remember.

Slow afternoons by the pool
The seasonal outdoor pool sits on the sun terrace with a view over the bay, an adults-only corner of the hotel for the warmer months. It is the quietest place on the property in the hours after lunch, when the light softens and the water becomes still.
Beach chairs and loungers, the sun terrace and the garden and outdoor seating areas give you several ways to spend a slow day without leaving the grounds. The pool operates seasonally, so please confirm the dates for your stay.
Accommodation
Rooms shaped by the coast

Accommodation at Hotel Vienna is spacious and comfortable, arranged so that the coastline does most of the decorating. Most rooms open onto a balcony, with sea or mountain views in the applicable categories, and the layouts leave room for luggage, a seating corner and the sort of clutter a beach holiday produces.
Deluxe, standard and twin categories all share the same standard of comfort, and the differences come down to size, aspect and how many people are travelling together.
In every room
- Air conditioning and heating
- Private bathroom
- Balcony in applicable rooms
- Free Wi-Fi
- Minibar and electric kettle
- Soundproofing
- Flat-screen TV
- Seating area and wardrobe
Housekeeping runs daily, and anything you need beyond this list is worth asking about at reception, because most requests can be arranged on the spot.

Restaurant Vienna
Meals at Vienna
The hotel’s on-site restaurant, Vienna, has a modern, family-friendly ambience and serves Italian, Mediterranean, Austrian, German and Croatian dishes, alongside freshly made pizzas, which is a fair reflection of where the Adriatic coast meets Central Europe.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea and cocktail hour are all part of the day here, with a bar and snack offering for lighter moments between swims. A kid-friendly buffet and children’s meals are available, so long lunches stay possible with a family at the table.
“The kind of place where someone notices you have come back from the beach and asks how the water was.”
What guests mention most often about Hotel Vienna is the people. The staff are warm and genuinely helpful, quick to explain where to find the best swimming spot, how to reach the old town or which road to take toward the mountains.
Hosting here is attentive without being formal. Rooms are kept clean, requests are handled directly and the general atmosphere stays relaxed, which is exactly what a waterfront stay in Igalo should feel like.
