Igalo, Montenegro

Restaurant Vienna

Dining at Vienna

The hotel’s restaurant is called Vienna, and it works the way a good coastal restaurant should: unhurried, modern in feel, family-friendly in practice. Meals here are meant to be part of the day at the water rather than a separate occasion you dress for.

The kitchen moves between Italian, Mediterranean, Austrian, German and Croatian cooking, alongside freshly made pizzas, which reflects both the Adriatic setting and the Central European thread that runs through this part of Montenegro.

Service

Through the day

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served at the hotel, with high tea in the afternoon and a cocktail hour as the light drops behind the hills. Guests who spend the day between the beach and the pool tend to appreciate having a kitchen a short walk away.

Alongside the restaurant there is a bar, a snack bar and a coffee house on site, and every room has a minibar. A kid-friendly buffet is part of the offering, and kids’ meals are available for an additional charge.

Fruit as well as wine and champagne can be arranged for an additional charge. For current service times during your stay, our team is happy to confirm them on arrival.

Room service is offered during service hours, which turns a quiet evening on the balcony into a perfectly reasonable alternative to a table downstairs.

The menu

What the kitchen cooks

Dishes change with the season and with what the market offers, but the character of the menu stays the same across the year.

Adriatic and Italian

Mediterranean and Italian plates form the backbone of the menu, along with pizza, which is as much a staple of the Montenegrin coast as it is of Naples. Croatian influences appear naturally given how close the border sits, and the result reads less like a themed menu than like the way people actually eat along this bay.

Austrian and German

The restaurant’s name is not accidental. Austrian and German dishes sit beside the coastal cooking, which gives the menu a warmer, heartier side for cooler evenings and for guests who want something familiar after a long day of travelling.

Family tables

The ambience is modern and explicitly family-friendly, with a kid-friendly buffet and children’s meals available for an additional charge. Nobody needs to worry about a long lunch with children at the table, and nobody needs to change out of what they wore to the beach.

Bar and snacks

The bar and snack bar cover the hours between meals, and cocktail hour gives the terrace its own moment in the evening. There is also a coffee house on site for a slower morning, and every room has a minibar for whatever the day did not cover.
